The northern part of Auckland is mostly covered by a large urban area called the North Shore, located to the north of the Auckland Harbour. But the North Auckland region stretches further up to Rodney. Some key areas in the North Auckland region are – Albany, Albany Heights, Rosedale, North Harbour, parts of Takapuna to name a few. The North Shore has some of the poshest communities in Auckland where the average property price is more than $1M. But they also offer the best possible locations with great scenic views overlooking the sea, like Mission Bay in Central Auckland. While the North Shore and the other northern parts are largely dominated by European homeowners, recently it has started gaining popularity among some other communities too.
